DevOps Technician

Job Needs and Characteristics

We are looking for a "Level 2"- tech ops resolver. 

The Experience DevOps Technician will work alongside the Incident Management Team through the process of tracking, managing, and solving incidents that interrupt the Guest experience. This will include collaboration with Carnival Corporation (CCL) for defect management of OCEAN™ Medallion experience business solutions.

Qualifications

  • Dev Ops - tech support with an advanced level of understanding of systems and applications such as; 
    • Kafka
    • VM Ware
    • Elastic Search 
    • Docker Swarm
    • Micro Service Architecture
    • Oracle and Couchbase 
  • BS in Computer Science or similar degree with equivalent industry experience
  • Experience working in an IT department that supports the business,
  • Outstanding critical thinking abilities and interpersonal communication skills 
  • Experience with project management software, i.e., Jira and Confluence

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of critical incident and major system escalations from initiation to resolution
  • Provide installation and configuration of operations and maintenance of systems, as well as related infrastructure for assigned development commitments
  • Work with developers, designers, and architects to ensure configuration and custom components meet application requirements and performance goals
  • Daily monitoring of server resources and verification of software throughout each development cycle
  • Respond to alarms set off by key processes and application logs
  • Fix any defects and performance problems discovered during testing        

Salary range is up to 80k - 90k based upon skills and past experience.
