Shipboard - OCEAN™ Medallion Incident Manager

Job Needs and Characteristics

This position will act as a shipboard resource, a vital liaison between ship management and onshore resources. The ability to travel and be deployed for 20-30 days at a time is a must for this role, with 20-30 days on land. The OCEAN™ Medallion Incident Manager will lead the Incident Management Team through tracking, managing, and solving incidents that interrupt the Guest experience. They will have the opportunity to travel to new countries, meet people from around the world, and learn valuable skills along the way. This will include collaboration at the forefront of innovation with Carnival Corporation (CCL) for experience business solutions regarding the OCEAN™ Medallion.

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Hospitality, or similar degree/experience
  • Knowledgeable in technical and functional discussion and resolution
  • Exceptional communications including spoken, written, active listening, and general body language
  • Outstanding critical thinking abilities
  • Able to direct meetings and guide teams towards a collective objective
  • Knowledge of the hospitality industry and inner workings of the guest experience
  • Curious, polite, professional, and engaging interpersonal skills
  • Passion for meeting new people and exploring new places
  • Experience with project management software, i.e., Jira and Confluence
  • PMP Certification is a plus, but not required


  • Assist with system performance monitoring and analysis
  • Maintain records and provide project solutioning support onboard and onshore
  • Responsible for the oversight of critical incident and major system escalations from initiation to resolution
  • Guide meetings for teams and stakeholder management
  • Conduct workflow analysis while identifying root causes and solutions
  • Represent the Carnival brand to improve the Guest experience with the OCEAN™ Medallion
  • Interact with guests and shipboard crew regularly to test software and provide updates
  • Provide assistance to leadership and development teams regarding system defects, demo presentations, and management operations
  • Contribute to long-term operational strategy and technical roadmaps
  • Act as point-of-contact for the front-end and back-end development teams


Salary range is up to 65k based on skills and past experience.
